The Black Pyramid is similar in that regard, and I honestly have no idea what bonuses it could bring to be as exciting as the Widowmaker mechanic.

Having every Elf faction actively fight over grabbing the Sword of Khaine is a bit weird since most wouldn't want to be near the thing, but it's an acceptable break from lore because it livens up the area. I suppose they could make something akin to the Sword of Khaine to incentive factions other than the Tomb Kings to want the area, but I'm not quite sure how they'd justify it. Well the only thing that is really an equivalent would be the Black Pyramid of Nagash. something maybe a sword of kaine-type thing. The southern badlands/shifting sands/black pyramid area could use. Unless the Lizardmen FLC LL comes faster which is likely going off the chart. Just a shame we're going to have to wait until 2019 for that. The aforementioned Itza is a prime candidate, so I don't think we have to much to worry about there. Even if Itza and Clan Skryre do become factions like most assume from the Lord pack, there will still be quite a bit of distance ME wise between Skaven and Lizardmen playable factions. Having Clan Pestilens in that area and with that much distance from Hexotl is about the best middleground you can get.

From a gameplay perspective it would be nice to have them closer, but lorewise it is already odd enough to have Clan Mor's and Kroq-Gar in the positions they have on this map. even if you are not playing against them, as they fill a large part of an otherwise empty map. Gather the cursed Books of Nagash and win the battle for the Black Pyramid to achieve. While they are considered diametrically opposed, it honestly doesn't make a lot of sense to have Lizardmen and Skaven near each other. New Tomb Kings Race playable in both the Eye of the Vortex and Mortal Empires campaigns Unique Race mechanics. Skaven and Lizardmen start as far away as fucking possible from each other.
